22 ½ Rd. and Greenbelt Dr. Sidewalk and Drainage Improvements
At their Oct. 8 public hearing, the Mesa County Commissioners approved an agreement with Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. for $156,757 to design the 22 ½ Road and Greenbelt Drive Sidewalk and Drainage Improvements Project. This project is a vital investment to improve pedestrian safety, universal accessibility, and stormwater infrastructure in the area, especially for students and families accessing Broadway Elementary School.

O-16 Bridge Replacement Project gets underway
Mesa County began a bridge replacement project at O Road and 16 Road in Fruita on Oct. 7. The project will operate Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is anticipated to be completed by spring 2025.
