Wild Horse Adoption 10-31-2025

Another Wild Horse Adoption is coming to the Mesa County Fairgrounds!

The adoption will be on Friday October 31st and Saturday November 1st, 2025 in the United Arena.

Viewing and application submission will take place from 9am to 4pm on Friday and 8am to 10am on Saturday. Applications can also be completed online prior to the event at the Bureau of Land Management website.

The auction starts at 10am and ends at 10:30am on Saturday. Load out begins around 11:30 on Saturday.  Please note that all bidders must be approved through the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) by 10:00 AM Saturday to participate.

There will be approximately 25 horses, ranging from four to nine years old from the Little Book Cliffs, Sand Wash Basin and Piceance East Douglas Ranges, with starting bids at $125.00.  There may also be three mares with foals, who aren’t weaned yet, available for adoption for a starting bid of $250.00 for the pair.
